Notice to my "Followers" and "Facebook Friends" I am tired of social media. I just want to stay informed about the people I care about, wether I know them in person—or not. That I am socially connected to some person might not mean that I am interested in his or her opinions. Social media defaults to a level of noise to which I'm not interested in participating. I would gladly pay to not be the product, but there is no one betting on taking my money in exchange for it. It might be a bias, but I remember myself with more energy and creativity before the social media frenzy happened. Let this be a turn of the wheel, and to come back to something more simple, a single point where I express myself. But, even with the experience of being web worker for a number of years, allow me to begin in the humility of a barely styled html file. I hope to eventually find the patience come to something more substantial. If you are a friend, known or unknown, you are always welcome to write to me at mark@duopixel.com so that we can catch up on whatever you want. Let the email thread be our stream. I will not close my social media accounts, nor do I endorse it. I have gradually ceased to give it attention, and by this announcement I make it known that the intention is to completely ignore it. Mark MacKay Nota para mis "followers" y "amigos en Facebook" Estoy cansado del social media. Sólo quiero mantenerme informado acerca de la gente que me importa, los conozca en persona o no. Que esté socialmente conectado a una persona no significa que me interese su opinión. El social media, si no se sabe mantiener bien controlado, es un ruido del cual no quiero ser partícipe. Con gusto pagaría por algo que me permitiera publicar sin entrar en el juego, pero nadie parece estar apostando en esa dirección. Puede que sea un punto ciego, pero me recuerdo con más energías y creatividad antes del boom del social media. Que esta sea la vuelta de rueda de regreso algo más simple, un solo punto donde me pueda expresar. Pero, aún con los años de experiencia como obrero de la web, comenzaré con la humildad de un html con apenas estilo. Espero encontrar paciencia para hacer algo con más substancia. No cerraré mis cuentas en social media ni abogo por ello. Sólo he dejado de prestar atención gradualmente, y de esta maner hago pública mi intención de ignorarlo completamente.
